Ian Ronald Goldsmith, 44, of Douglas, will appear before the court on Thursday next week.

His hearing on Tuesday was adjourned to allow for a bail address to be confirmed before his latest appearance on Thursday was adjourned as well. The second adjournment was to allow the probation service time to speak to Goldsmith.

He has denied charges of assault causing actual bodily harm and a breach of the Emergency Powers Act and is due for a pre-trial review on June 4.
