Firefighters were called out to a farm to rescue a stricken horse.
Crews from Ramsey were mobilised yesterday lunchtime (Friday) to stables near Cornaa.
Harry the horse had been stuck in a lying position for number of hours, unable to stand on his own due to fatigue from illness.
Using a combination of winches, strops and airbag equipment commonly used at road collisions, and under guidance from a vet, firefighters were able to put in place a safe system to lift Harry off the floor to position where he could then stand on his own.
Harry was then able to make his own way to a nearby field to recover.
