Police in the north of the island are trying to locate the owner of a flock of sheep.

About 20 sheep have been seen roaming the area around the Rest and Be Thankful, Ramsey.

Officers said the sheep have now made their way onto a property in the area.

A police statement said: ’Despite the help of some local farmers we have been unable to workout who they belong to. Could they be yours.... please call 631212 if you have any knowledge of them or information which may help. Thanks.’

The sheeps’ owner has since been identified and are on their way to collect them.
