Police are seeking information after someone tried to set a fire in a Douglas public toilet.

The incident took place near the Bottleneck car park on Douglas Promenade between 5pm on March 4 and 8am on March 5.

The police have described the damage caused as ’significant’, saying that it will be costly to repair.

A spokesman said: ’We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed person/s acting suspiciously in the area between the above times or alternatively anyone who has information that would help the police with their investigation.’
