The cause of a local woman’s death is yet to be determined, an inquest has heard.

Jacquelyn Price, aged 58, of Croft Park, Andreas, died on January 17 at home.

Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes opened and adjourned Mrs Price’s inquest into her death yesterday (Thursday).

Mrs Hughes said that the cause of her death was yet to be determined following police investigations.

A man was arrested on the night of her death, 21-year-old James Price, her son.

He was charged with two offences - one for the alleged murder of his mother and one allegedly attempting to murder David Price.

Mrs Price’s body can now be released so that funeral arrangements can be arranged.

Mrs Hughes passed her condolences to Mrs Price’s family.
