Fire crews were called to the scene of a kitchen fire in Onchan earlier this week.
At approximately 11.46am on Monday (April 16), fire service members from Douglas were sent to a property in Onchan where the officer in charge confirmed that a fire was located in the kitchen.
It was quickly established that all persons residing at the address were safely out of the building and that the workmen in the area had isolated the power.
The fire crews later ventilated the property after checking if the fire had spread to other areas of the house.
Crews were in attendance for about 30 minutes with two fire appliances from Douglas being used.
Station officer Paul McEvoy said: ’We would like to remind the public, should you discover a fire, close the door on the fire and get out of the property, call the Fire Service out from a safe place and stay out.’
