Port St Mary lifeboat crews were yesterday called to the Gansey to aid a motor boat which had broken down.
The RNLI inshore rescue boat Spirit of Leicester were contacted by Belfast Coastguard to help the boat which had drifted towards Gansey.
The boat had set off from Chapel Beach and was ’blown by a fairly strong northerly breeze’.
A spokesman said: ’Luckily the crew of the motor boat managed to restart it’s engine and make it’s own way back to the beach .
The lifeboat returned to station after checking the condition of the two people.
