Ramsey lifeboat was launched after two swimmers were spotted apparently in difficulty near Queen’s Pier.
The call-out came at 2.15pm yesterday (Tuesday).
Ramsey Coastguard were also tasked to assist with this incident.
The volunteer lifeboat crew, under the command of Coxswain Jason Colley, quickly established contact with the two swimmers, who had been snorkelling, and established that they were safe and well.
Kevin Christian, Ramsey RNLI lifeboat operation manager, said: ’The member of the public did the correct thing by calling 999 and asking for the Coastguard.
’If as a swimmer you encounter difficulties while swimming follow the RNLI’s ’How to Float’ advice, wave your arms and shout for help.’
