Two houses were struck by lightning this week with the island experiencing thundery conditions.
The roof of a house in Port Erin was destroyed by a lightning strike on Tuesday.
It’s understood there was nobody in the Ponyfields property at the time.
Manx Utilities is currently investigating whether lightning interrupted electricity supplies to properties in Ballakillowey and Colby, which are nearby.
Following this, at 10.30am on Wednesday the fire service were called to reports of another house in Colby that had been struck by lightning.
On arrival, crews found that it had caused damage to the roof.
Crews checked the property to ensure it was safe and remained in attendance for approximately 30 minutes.
Manx Utilities also attended to isolate the power.
