John Edward Corran, aged 73, of Edmund Chadwick Grove, Douglas, has been charged with nine historical sexual offences.

He is accused of rape, alleged to have been committed between February 1993 and March 1994, and attempted rape between December 1982 and December 1987.
He is also charged with two counts of indecent assault on a child, alleged to have been committed between February 1993 and March 1997, and five counts of indecent assault on a woman, alleged to have been committed between December 1982 and December 1987.
The case will be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery on December 15.
No bail application was made and Mr Corran is remanded in custody.
