A Peel man has admitted having 725 indecent images of children.
Joshua James Tweedy, of Bluebell Close, was committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery after admitting 10 counts of downloading indecent photos of children.
The 22-year-old had previously been charged with four counts of the offence but on Tuesday, six new charges were laid after further analysis of devices owned by him.
Prosecutor James Robinson said that the majority of the images were level one on the Copine scale used for measuring the severity of the photos, with five being the most severe.
However, the prosecutor said that there were 104 images at level four and one at level five.
The still images totalled 690 while there were 35 moving images.
Advocate Ian Kermode said his client would be entering a basis of plea when the case was heard in the higher court.
Tweedy will make his first appearance at the Court of General Gaol Delivery on May 13.
He was remanded in custody.
