A 64-year-old man from Ballabeg has admitted possessing a kitchen knife in a public place.

Christopher Sharp, of Douglas Road, pleaded guilty to the charge of possessing a prohibited article in a public place.

The case was adjourned until February 22 at the request of his advocate Kate Alexander who asked for a probation report to be prepared before sentencing.

Bail was granted in the sum of £250 with conditions that Sharp reside at his home address and liaise with probation.
