Daniel Justin Kepple Woodbridge, aged 26, of Larivane Meadows, Andreas, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm (GBH).
The offence is alleged to have been committed on a woman on October 4.
He is accused of punching her in the face three or four times which is alleged to resulted in her suffering a fractured cheekbone.
The offence can only be heard at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Committal proceedings will take place on December 1.
No bail application was made and he is remanded in custody.
