Michael Anthony Brown, aged 28, of Bircham Avenue Close, Ramsey, has denied being involved in bringing £19,614-worth of cannabis to the island.

He pleaded not guilty to possession of the drug with intent to supply, being concerned in the production of the drug to the island, and possession of cannabis.

Prosecuting advocate Chrissie Hunt told the court how a package was intercepted at Ramsey post office on February 13.

Magistrates declined jurisdiction and the case will be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery on Thursday, October 22.

Bail continues in the sum of £500.
