Police are carrying out an investigation after a man was found with ’serious’ injuries in St Ninian’s High School grounds.

The adult man, who was found at the Douglas school early this morning (Thursday), is currently being treated for his injuries.

Police cordoned off an area of the school today as part of their investigations and spoke to residents nearby.

They have confirmed that the matter is not connected with the running of the school and are asking for information relating to the incident which is thought to have taken place between 2am and 6am.

If anyone saw a male between that time frame in the area of Bray Hill or Ballaquayle Road they should contact the police on 631212.
