Jason Nicolas Brewster was thrown out of Jaks on Tuesday after knocking over a drink then having an argument with another man.
Bouncers had to restrain Brewster against railings in a headlock as he was ejected from the pub.
High Bailiff Jayne Hughes ordered that he pay the fine, plus £125 prosecution costs, forthwith or face 42 days in jail.
Prosecutor Rachael Braidwood told the court that Brewster, of Micklebring Lane, Briathwell, Rotherham, was asked to leave the pub at 12.35am after he was described as ’dancing erratically’ and knocking over a drink.
The 34-year-old was then said to have argued with a man and pulled away from security as they tried to remove him from the pub.
He was also said to have pushed his head back in what seemed to be an attempted headbutt.
After his arrest he told police he believed he was being asked to leave for no reason but admitted he had become argumentative. He said he understood he should have left when asked to and was very apologetic.
Defence advocate Stephen Wood said that his client was pleading guilty to a charge of disorderly behaviour on licensed premises on the basis that there was no attempted headbutt. ’Mr Brewster is a significant unit,’ he said.
’He was dancing around quite wildly, enjoying his holidays and knocked a drink over, coming to the attention of staff.
’He thought he was having too good a time to leave. There have been hands on him and it’s then that my client’s behaviour has gone downhill.
’The resistance was outside at the railings.’
Mr Wood said that Brewster's father was in court to assist him with any financial penalty.
Mrs Hughes told Brewster: ’I accept there was nothing malicious in your behaviour. It was dancing over-exuberantly.’
