David Arthur Newton, aged 65, of Reayrt Ny Chrink, Port Erin, has been fined £400 for driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition.

He admitted the offence and also had his licence endorsed with three penalty points.

Newton’s van was found to have numerous defects when police stopped him on Peel Road in Douglas on November 6. He was also ordered by magstrates to pay £50 costs.
