A Douglas man has admitted possessing cannabis bush on two separate occasions on the same day.
Michael Trevor France, aged 25, of Cronk-y-Berry View, had the drug at his home and also outside the Liverpool Arms, both on May 30.
In what Deputy High Bailiff, Jayne Hughes, described as ’an unexpected turn around’, an allegation of driving while unfit through drink or drugs on the same day was withdrawn by the prosecution.
’There was evidence of some substance in your system but there was no evidence that you were actually unfit at the time,’ she told him.
The total weight of the cannabis was 10.2 grams valued at £204.
He was bailed with a £500 recognisance, pending sentencing at a later date.
