Thomas James Taylor, aged 46, of Lilly Green, Walton, Merseyside, has been charged with production of £120,000 worth of cannabis to the island.
He is also accused of possession of the same drug with intent to supply.
Mr Taylor, who appeared before the High Bailiff this week, was said to have entered not guilty pleas on Saturday.
Prosecutor Hazel Carroon said that six kilograms of cannabis was seized by police on April 26. High Bailiff Jayne Hughes ruled that the case should go to the Court of General Gaol Delivery and committal proceedings will take place on June 25.
No bail application was made and Mr Taylor was remanded in custody.
However, defence advocate Paul Glover said that his client was being assessed for a place at probation accommodation David Gray House and a bail application may be made if he was deemed suitable.
