Police are investigating a serious assault on a man that took place in Douglas last night.

It happened on Castle Street at around 11pm.
The victim had to be treated in hospital.
A police spokesman said: "We are especially keen to speak to two people, a male and a female who walked along Castle Street at the time of this assault. If you have any information please contact police headquarters on 631212 quoting P2910019027."
