Two Castletown men have appeared in court charged with being drunk in charge of a boat.

Stephen Michael Creer, aged 22, of Malew Street, and Kyle John Blackley (also known as McGeown), aged 23, of Farrants Way, are yet to enter a plea to the charge.

They are both also charged with taking the boat without consent and property damage.

Mr Creer is also facing two counts of drug possession.

The offences are alleged to have been committed on June 8.

Advocate Deborah Myerscough, representing Mr Creer, asked for an adjournment saying that case papers had only just been received.

Ian Kermode, who appeared for Mr Blackley, also requested the same adjournment.

The case was adjourned until July 8 with bail granted for both men in the sum of £500.
