Five people received minor injuries after the car they were in crashed in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to the crash on the Ramsey side of the Bungalow just before 4.30am.

On arrival crews found a vehicle on its side across the road with three people still inside, two other occupants had made their own way out prior to emergency services arrival.

Although there had been five occupants they only had minor injuries, the three remaining in the car were assisted out by Fire crews and Ambulance staff.

All five occupants were transferred to Hospital by Ambulances for check-ups. Crews were in attendance for about 30 minutes, the road remained closed while the vehicle was recovered.

The police said despite the road being closed from Ramsey Hairpin, two vehicles had ignored signs and driven onto the Mountain Road.

They added: ’Those ignoring road closures may be prosecuted as this puts emergency service staff in danger when dealing with incidents.’
