Police who were concerned for the welfare of a 14-year-old boy say he has now been found and they have thanked people for their help.

The alert was raised after Max Harrison went missing from his home in the Onchan area yesterday (Saturday) and his family were worried for him.

Police issued this message at lunchtime today (Sunday): 'We are pleased to report that we have found Max.

'He is safe, and being returned home.

'Thank you for your help.'
