Two Douglas men have appeared in court charged with money-laundering offences.

David John Alsop, 52, of Ballacottier Meadows, is accused of four counts of possessing criminal property and one of possessing cannabis. It relates to about £90,000.

Jamie Mark Smith, 31, of Queens Promenade, is charged with two counts of possessing criminal property and one of transferring criminal property. The offences relate to about £26,000 and Euros 1,000. Both men will be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery on February 12.
