Liam Bass, aged 20, of Lindsey Drive, Grimsby, has denied causing serious bodily harm by driving without due care.

He appeared in court via video link from his Grimsby home.

The offence is alleged to have been committed while Mr Bass was riding a KTM motorcycle on the A18 Mountain Road in Lezayre on August 22, 2018.

The complainant in the case, who was also riding a motorbike, suffered a broken femur which had to have a metal rod inserted, damage to his kneecap, and also had a metal plate inserted into his tibia.

Bass was said to have suffered a fractured vertebrae.

A pre-trial review will be held, via video link, on June 15.

High Bailiff Jayne Hughes accepted summary court jurisdiction.
