A motorist has been fined £1,000 for careless driving and failing to stop after an accident.
Aston Lyn Bowie, aged 27, of Knockaloe Beg Lane, Patrick, admitted both offences and had her licence endorsed with seven points.
Prosecutor Roger Kane told the court that Bowie damaged two cars while driving on Fenella Terrace in Peel early on April 13.
She left the scene but reported the accident the following day, saying she had been reaching for a bottle of water.
Defence advocate Aalish Hannan said her client had a clean licence.
’Ms Bowie has had a momentary loss of judgement which caused her to run into the rear of a vehicle. She didn’t know what to do. Had she not gone to the police they would not have known.’
