Police have reopened the Mountain Road following an earlier crash.

The police had advised motorists to avoid the Mountain Road after a crash at The Verandah just before 9am this morning.

The road was closed from Ramsey Hairpin to The Bungalow with drivers being asked to take an alternate route as the road was blocked.

The police have not released information as to the number of vehicles involved.
