A mother and son have denied being involved in drug dealing.

Paula Marshall, aged 50, of Springfield Avenue, Douglas, pleaded not guilty to possessing criminal property, namely £18,354 in cash, and possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

Her son, Liam Bradley, aged 27, of the same address, pleaded not guilty to the same two charges.

It is alleged that £1,000-worth of cannabis was found during a search along with the £18,354 in cash.

Prosecuting advocate Chrissie Hunt submitted that the case should be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.

Magistrates agreed and committal proceedings will take place on October 22.

Bail continues for both parties.
