Fire crews were called to the Trafalgar pub in Ramsey last night following reports of a bad smell.

The ’noxious smell’, coming from the cellar, was later traced to a leak in a chiller unit.

Fire crews cordoned off the area until an engineer could rectify the problem.

A spokesman for the fire service confirmed: ’Crews advise that at no stage was the stored beer in danger!’
