A 52-year-old Douglas man has been remanded in custody after breaching his bail by making nuisance 999 calls.
Jonathan Richard Fletcher, of Mona Street, was released on bail on Wednesday with a condition not to use the emergency number without valid reason.
However, on September 9, between 5.31pm and 6pm he made numerous calls to complain about an incident which occured 10 years ago and was not ongoing.
He was warned on each occasion that he should only use the 999 system for emergencies but continued to call.
Eventually police attended his address and he was described as being intoxicated.
He was due to appear in court again on September 22 and defence advocate Paul Rodgers said he did not oppose his client being remanded until then.
