A 31-year-old man has admitted possessing cocaine, cannabis, and Diazepam at his home.
Ross Arnold Menton will be sentenced on October 13 after a probation report has been completed.
Prosecuting advocate Rebecca Cubbon told the court how a search warrant was executed by police at an address at Cronk Grianagh, Strang, on February 2 at 9pm.
A wrap containing white powder was found in Menton’s pocket which was later identified as four grams of cocaine worth £400.
At the property, police also found 0.8 grams of cannabis, valued at £16, 184 Diazepam tablets worth between £92 and £184, and two cannabis joints valued at £8.
The court heard that Menton, who lives in Rosemount, Douglas, has no previous drug-related convictions.
Defence advocate Paul Glover said that his client was staying at a friend’s house at the time but Menton admitted that all the drugs belonged to him.
Mr Glover asked for a probation report with input from the Drug and Alcohol Team (DAT).
High Bailiff Jayne Hughes ordered that the report consider all sentencing options, including custody, and granted bail in the sum of £500 with conditions that Menton reside at his home address, contact probation, and not leave the island without court consent.
