Two people aboard a rigid drifting inflatable (RIB) boat were rescued by Peel coastguards.
At 3.30pm this afternoon (Sunday), the lifeboat ’Ruby Clery’ was launched to assist the boat that was found 1.5miles east of Peel from Whitestrand.
The boat’s engine had failed, causing it to drift.
Under the command of coxwain Jon Corlett, the rescue crew helped tow the RIB safely back to Peel Harbour.
Both occupants on the RIB were unharmed.
