The police have released this image showing the aftermath of the single-vehicle road traffic collision that closed part of the Mountain Road for several hours this afternoon.

The Constabulary’s Roads Policing Unit posted the photo on Facebook with the following: ’This afternoon we dealt with a single vehicle collision on the Mountain Road, luckily no one has suffered life-threatening injuries.
’Our investigations into the incident are ongoing but we wanted to highlight the end result of when your ambition is heavily out weighed by a lack of talent.

The road was closed for several hours between Lheaney Road and the Bungalow while the scene was cleared and emergency repairs carried out, opening shortly after 5.30pm.
