Police investigating the death of a TT visitor are appealing for potential witnesses to come forward.

On May 27, 56-year-old James Karl Gilmour, who was visiting from Prenton, Merseyside, died at Noble’s Hospital following a three-vehicle crash between the Creg ny Baa and Brandish corner at 11.20am that day.

Coroner of inquests John Needham last week gave the cause of death as ’massive craniocerebral trauma’, which Mr Gilmour sustained after colliding with the rear of a van while on his Suzuki motorcycle.

A police spokesman said: ’We are seeking the driver/occupants of a blue Vauxhall Zafira motor car, which was in the area of the Creg Ny Baa at the time of a fatal road traffic collision.

’The occupants may have information which is important to the investigation.

’There were also three motorcycles, which we also wish to identify.’

The collision involved a Green Mercedes Vito van, a Suzuki motorcycle and a blue Ford Kuga.

Anyone with information about the Zafira or the three motorcycles should contact the road policing unit at police headquarters.
