The police called upon the services of volunteers to assist in the search of a missing person.
This afternoon they called upon the services of the Isle of Man Coastguard, Search and Rescue Dog Association and Civil Defence to help locate a high risk missing person.
On social media the police said: ’Thankfully, high risk missing persons where we require multiple organisations to assist us in searches are rare.
’However when we do call upon them, the services offered in terms of resources and assistance is invaluable.
’Today was no different and all of the above organisations rapidly responded to our request for assistance, resulting in the person being found quickly.
’This would not of been possible without the help of our partners.’
The police thanked the volunteers who assisted them, especially the Coast Guard who found the missing individual.
