Detective Inspector Michelle McKillop said police were called to the Woodbourne Square Park after residents reported a violent disturbance at about 11pm on Wednesday night.
When police arrived, they discovered a serious assault had occurred which has left two individuals requiring hospital treatment.
DI McKillop said their injuries are ’severe but not life threatening’
