Police say they have had reports in the last few days of intruders entering garages of private houses in the Douglas area with the intention of stealing items.

A police spokesman said: ‘Please ensure you lock garages, windows and doors. Also keep your vehicles locked and the keys secured in a safe place. The Island is a low crime area, let’s keep it that way.’
