A police officer was attacked with a knife in Ramsey last night.

The incident took place at about 8pm as police were conducting inquiries.

The female resident at the house at which the police had called was also injured.

Both the police officer and the resident were treated in hospital for serious but not life-threatening knife injuries.

One person has been arrested and officers from detectives are investigating.
