Police say the overall number of collisions during the TT fell 21% from 78 in 2018, to 62 this year.
But total arrests made across TT fortnight increased by 17% to 148.
Accident and arrest figures from the Saturday of Practice week to the end of Sunday after Senior Race Day on both 2018 and 2019 were released today by police.
Serious collisions were down by 42% - from 19 to 11.
This year there were also two fatal accidents, compared to one last year.
Both incidents took place in different locations on the Sloc A36 road in the south of the island.
Police said these collisions are being investigated and any issues raised will be thoroughly examined.
There were 20 collisions on the one-way Mountain Road of the TT Course, nine of which were serious injury.
The Coast Road retained a 50mph temporary speed limit and a strong visible police presence throughout the fortnight and this year there were no road traffic collisions involving motorbikes on this road.There were 16 slight injury collisions (down from 20 last year); 33 damage only (down from 35 in 2018) and no colisions involving animals (there were three last year).Police said the adverse weather and race cancellations contributed to busier town centres and the number of drink-related arrests being made.
Arrests for public order offences doubled from 12 to 24.Drink-drive arrests were down from 13 to 10; assaults were up from 20 to 23, and arrests for drugs offences were up from 17 to 26.There was no change in the number of arrests for drunkenness, which remained at 37.A series of de-briefs will now be conducted before work towards planning any policing improvements for MGP and TT 2020.
