Michael Anthony Brown, aged 28, of Bircham Avenue Close, Ramsey, has appeared in court via video link from the prison.

He is accused of provoking behaviour. A bail application was refused previously and Mr Brown was due to be assessed by mental health services over his fitness to plead.

Defence advocate Kate Alexander said the prison had said they did not have the facilities for him to be assessed by mental health.

Ms Alexander said: ’They were the subject of a TV show where they appeared to be very helpful and forward thinking but they have not been helpful at all to Mr Brown.’

She said he stood to lose his accommodation while on remand and a psychiatric report would take at least a month.

The case was adjourned to November 5.
