Douglas’s lifeboat crew went to the rescue of a fishing boat this morning.
The RNLI volunteers were called at 7.53am.
The 10m vessel’s engine failed.
It had two people on board had left Douglas about an hour earlier on a fishing trip.
About a mile off Onchan Head, the engine failed because of a blocked fuel line.
Unable to clear the blockage and restart the engine the crew called the coastguard by radio for assistance.
Coxswain Neal Corran took the all-weather lifeboat, Marine Engineer, out of Douglas harbour to rescue the boat.
The lifeboat towed the fishing vessel back to Douglas.
