Avondale Road in Onchan has reopened following a car fire.

Police announced there were reports of a car on fire near the Archibald Knox pub at about 8.25am this morning.

Officers then closed the road down to its junction with the Main Road in the village.

Fire crews dealt with the fire before the police confirmed the road had opened again just after 9am.
