A 52-year-old woman from Onchan has pleaded guilty in magistrates’ court to disorderly behaviour on licensed premises.
Susan Annette Heathcote, of Barrule Drive, will be sentenced on April 13 after the preparation of a probation report.
Prosecutor James Robinson told the court how, on December 14, police were called to the Rosemount pub in Woodbourne Road after a report of a woman being verbally abusive and refusing to leave.
When officers arrived a witness said that Heathcote had entered the pub and ordered half a lager.
The court heard that a ban on her entering licensed premises had ended the day before.
Heathcote was heard by the witness swearing and arguing in the pub saying: ’What are you looking at?’
She was asked to leave, initially refusing, but eventually left the pub, swearing and saying: ’Phone the police. My court ban ended yesterday.’
Defending Heathcote in court, advocate Darren Taubitz said that his client had health and personal problems and agreed that a probation report would be helpful before sentencing.
