A 31-year-old from Colby has admitted drink-driving after a crash in Ballasalla.
A blood sample from Hayley Martha Bainton produced a reading of 113. The legal limit is 80.
She will be sentenced on December 9 after a probation report has been completed.
Prosecuting advocate Barry Swain told the court that police were called to an accident at Douglas Road in Ballasalla on August 18 at 9.30pm.
Bainton’s Mini Cooper had collided with a stationary vehicle and an oncoming one.
At the scene she was described as unsteady on her feet, slurring her words, and having glazed eyes.
When asked by police if she had been drinking she said ’no’.
She was then said to have struggled with police during her arrest, which resulted in her being handcuffed.
The court heard that Bainton, who lives at Glen Road, has a previous conviction for being drunk in charge of a vehicle in February, which she was fined £1,000 for, and her licence was endorsed with 10 points.
Defence advocate James Peterson asked for a probation report to be prepared before sentencing.
Bail was granted in the sum of £500 with conditions not to drive, to live at her home address, and to contact probation.
