Members of the public are warned about a fake Bank of England £10 note circulating around Douglas.

Shop owners were given the shopwatch alert by Douglas Corporation today (Thursday).

The forged note fails the security pen, has a missing crown at the top as well as the drawing at the centre of Winchester Cathedral Tower.

Other missing details given about the note include: the bottom multi-coloured hologram which you move from ’ten’ to ’pounds’, a gold ’£’ sign at the bottom of the transparent part of the note.
