Police in Ramsey say they tracked a suspected shoplifter today.

Taking to Facebook, the northern neighbourhood policing team said a combination of CCTV, local knowledge and community policing helped them resolve the matter.

They were tracking the suspect after a report of shoplifting from Top 2 Toe on Bowring Road, Ramsey.

The police post added: ’Shoplifting is a crime and you risk being prosecuted.

’Please respect our hardworking businesses or spend a day in our establishment,the cells.’
