A 19-year-old man has admitted possessing £60-worth of cocaine.
Blayne Mason Niall Brian Quinn, of Archallagan Terrace, Foxdale, will be sentenced on March 31 after a probation report has been completed.
Prosecuting advocate Hazel Carroon told the court that police searched Quinn’s home on September 22 and found a bag of white powder.
It was identified as cocaine weighing 0.6 grams and valued at £60.
When interviewed by police Quinn handed in a prepared statement claiming he was not aware of the white powder in his bedroom.
Defence advocate Paul Glover said that his client was currently subject to a suspended sentence otherwise he would have requested a financial penalty.
Mr Glover asked for a probation report to be prepared before sentencing.
High Bailiff Jayne Hughes accepted jurisdiction saying that her summary court powers would be sufficient for sentencing.
Bail was granted in the sum of £500 with conditions to reside at his home address, contact probation, and not leave the island without court consent.
