A Douglas teenager has been fined £350 for being drunk and disorderly outside the Courthouse bar.
Liam David Skillicorn, of Lheannag Park, admitted the offence and was also banned from entering licensed premises, and purchasing or being sold alcohol for six months.
Prosecutor Roger Kane said police spoke to Skillicorn, aged 19, after he was ejected from the Courthouse bar in Athol Street on October 13 at 1.50am. He was drunk and abusive to officers but then appeared to calm down.
Skillicorn jumped onto the bonnet of a car which was pulling out of Athol Street. He then walked down Church Street and lay face in the middle of the road. Skillicorn was arrested and began banging on the police van door.
Advocate Andrew Baker said: ’Mr Skillicorn has held his hands up. He was out on an 18th birthday celebration. He has had a skinful and played up. He was raucous, the group were asked to leave the Courthouse.
’It was his friend’s car but that doesn’t excuse the disorderly behaviour.’
