Police officers are currently dealing with a number of property searches in the area of Ramsey.

This is following an incident last evening that resulted in three persons being arrested, who are still assisting officers with their enquiries at Police headquarters.

A spokesman said: ’Whilst persons who may have been in the area at the time could have been alarmed at the police activity, we would like to say that the general public were not at risk at all during this incident.

’Due to the ongoing investigation we cannot release any further details about the incident at this time.’
