This is the harrowing moment a 13-year-old cyclist was forced off the road by an overtaking tractor and trailer.

Video footage from the young cyclist’s helmet camera has been posted on the Western neighbourhood policing team’s Facebook page.

The incident happened in Foxdale at about 5.45pm on Tuesday this week.

Police said the tractor driver has now come forward.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Peel police station on 842208.

Officers have also issued a general reminder to all motorists to slow down and wait for a safe place to pass
